glitch-sequencer, like GlitchDS but for Mac and PC
Posted on April 30th, 2009 12 commentsI was keeping it silent for a while, but now that the youtube video is out, the cat’s out of the bag.
Glitch-sequencer is now available, free! Glitch-sequencer is like glitchDS, but for the Mac and PC. It’s a pure MIDI sequencer, which means it doesn’t make any noise on its own. You need either external gear or some knowledge of soft-synths. If you download it, a small donation would be appreciated.

Enjoy! Requires Java 1.6 or higher. So far, a few Mac users have reported problems. Please report the problems to me or post them in the comments area. I may spawn out a new topic in the forums for glitch-sequencer related conversation.
Thanks,

Hey Bret..thanks for this, I’m already working with it for a track, really cool implementing the midi output, it does sync well with Live.
Love it

Hello,
There’s no Linux version so far because I don’t believe that the midi library that I am using (themidibus) supports Linux. After my vacation, I’ll compile a linux version for people to tinker with. So far, glitchDS does NOT support OSC, although I may eventually add OSC support.
Thanks,

Since the Mac update Glitch runs fine, unfortunately I have no idea how to get it to control any external devices (Live/Plogue Bidule etc) as nothing other than Java Sound Synthesizer is selectable.
I assume this is down to my lack of midi knowledge… any suggestions? -

If any Mac users feel especially kind, I could use more detailed installation instructions. If you have the time to write some up and send them to me, I would be very grateful.
Thanks,
